Halloween at Orpheus

Halloween arrived very early on the good ship Sunburn ... awake at 6am, 2 budding pirates were up and ready ... planning, drawing, colouring, cutting and making their costumes. Looking swashbucklingly good Sunburn's pirates eagerly awaited the call "Lets go Treasure Hunting"! (which didnt happen until late afternoon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!). What these eager young pirates from the good ships Sunburn and Silhouette didnt know was that to take part in the treasure hunt various tasks had to be performed first. The scavenger hunt being first on the list, not to mention the most difficult as it turned out! Then came "walk the rope" ... easier said than done! T H E N and only then could The Treasure Hunt begin...a very useful, albeit ancient looking treasure map was uncovered with many clues which involved direction, measurements, and calculations (I am sure they didnt realise there was a bit of school still happening here!!)The treasure was finally discovered just on dark! Much fun was had especially since the clues had been hidden at low tide,
the difficulty factor for finding them had risen along with the tide resulting in much laughter not to mention wet clothing along with the sea lice assisting! Finally success ... treasure was found being (by this stage) melted freddo
frogs, golden sweets and the best of all...silver coins! Time for a picnic dinner, the snake eating contest and then off to harrass those poor unsuspecting yachties in the bay and trick or treat!
These snakes are veerrry hard to catch!
